Last week’s DevOpsDays Silicon Valley conference was a two-day thrill with a whirlwind of inspiring presentations and super-smart devops talks!
The conference took place on June 24-25, 2016 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View.
Since the first event kicked off in 2009 DevOpsDays are now held in numerous cities around the world, and have become widely regarded as the leading venues for the latest and greatest news on all things DevOps.
Attendees this year enjoyed two full-packed days of sessions and seminars and thanks to Monitis, the proud “Events T-Shirt Sponsor”, everyone walked away with a free souvenir to commemorate their time at the conference!
To catch the innovative spirit of DevOps + performance monitoring, Monitis put a QR code on the Devopsdays T-shirt. This linked directly to a dashboard where participants could insert their website URL to test its response time.
Those who tried out the service had the option to enter their emails for chances to win prizes. The three fastest response times got prizes like a free iPad Air 2, Monitis Charge on the Go: Nektek 20W Solar Charger + Anker 20000mAh Portable Charger, or a Monitis DevOps Reading Bundle.
There were a number of great results from the contest with the grand prize going to starjewel.org. The 3 fastest websites all clocked in impressively at under 30ms:
Raffi M. Kassarjian, Executive Director and General Manager, summed up the success of Devopsdays this way:
“Monitis was proud to be a sponsor of DevOps days this year – the sessions were quite interesting, and as usual, we liked being with our core users – Dev Ops experts. We had a lot of fun with our contest – conference participants took up the challenge to show how well their sites performed against other participants’ sites. The winners definitely deserved to be recognized, as they had less than 30ms response times. We look forward to many more Dev Ops Days in the coming months and years!”
