Offline Agent Alerts

The Offline Agent Alerts feature allows you to receive an alert when your Monitis Smart Agent (see Server/Device Monitors) or Custom Monitor  is down.

If no data is received for a specified amount of time from an Agent or Custom Monitor that you have configured Offline Agent Alerts for, you will receive an Offline Agent alert.

The Offline Agent check is run at your predefined time interval (20 min by default, configurable), and if no data is received from your Monitis Smart Agent or Custom Monitor, an Offline Agent alert is generated and sent to your selected contact(s).

There is no continuous alerting in Offline Agent. If your Agent doesn’t recover, you will only be receiving Offline Agent alerts once in 7 days for 6 months.

You can also configure receiving a recovery alert when your Agent or Custom monitor recovers.

To configure receiving alerts when your Monitis Agent or Custom Monitor is down, go to the Alerts menu and select Offline Agent Alerts.
